Homeless Health

I was inspired by the work of the Sidewalk Project to start visiting the rapidly growing encampments of unhoused people on the peninsula and south bay areas of the San Francisco bay. The services I provide are:

  • Donations of clothing items, particularly socks and underwear (please donate below)
  • Free naloxone (an opioid overdose reverser) and training
  • Free condoms
  • Wound care for injuries
  • Simple health advice and encouragement to visit local clinics
  • Encouragement to engage with the health system and 911 when they need to
  • Help in connecting with other resources in the areas

I go out at least once a week, usually in the evening or on weekend mornings.

For more information, see my business site that supports this work: https://www.weefreemedicine.org.

If you would like my help or for me to come visit, please call or text on Signal or WhatsApp at 650-293-0692. Regular phone and text also work, but are somewhat less secure (although this number uses encrypted HIPAA compliant storage).

You can also contact me at the contact page or at [email protected].

I am a resident physician and am mostly funding this effort with my own limited funds. If you would like to help, please donate either money or items from my amazon wish list below. 100% of donations and funds will go to unhoused people.
